Neem is an evergreen that grows in the tropics and sub-tropics. It has been used widely in Traditional Indian medicine for various therapeutic purposes. Scientific investigations carried out during the last two decades have reported anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties of Neem.
The medicinal uses are attributed to several compounds including azadirachtin and meliantriol. Neem products have been used topically for skin concerns such as, against heat rash, boils, wounds, chicken pox, topical fungal issues, dental bacteria and respiratory ailments.
