Are there any risks with eating fish on a regular basis?
Unfortunately, nowadays yes, there is. We're getting toxins and pollutants and heavy metals in our fish. When you take a fish oil supplement, the reason you're taking it is for the EPA and the DHA, in other words the good fats. The fattier the fish, the more polluted it is because a lot of these pollutions are stored in the fat cells. So, unfortunately, eating fish is a great idea, but it really, really depends on how it's sourced.
How is Renew Life’s Omega-3 different?
Renew Life uses a super critical extraction process to remove all impurities and heavy metals and anything that shouldn't be in your fish oil.
Why would someone want to take a high potency omega-3?
If they have things like inflammation. The Omega-3 EPA in particular is good for inflammation. But another thing would be helping to lower triglycerides so as to help with cholesterol.
What is Lipase?
It is the digestive enzyme that your body produces to break down fats to its nutritive properties. But a lot of people have problems breaking down fats. So adding it into capsules ensures that your body is going to break down the oils properly.
What makes Super Critical Omega-3 different?
It is different from other Omega-3 supplements for a few reasons. First of all, it is enteric coated and Lipase is put right in the capsule. These two things together are going to ensure that you break down the fats contained in the capsule properly. And you're definitely not going to be burping up fishy after-taste. The other thing is that it goes through IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards) testing. And those are the most stringent standards on the planet. Every single batch, gets 5 star rating with IFOS. And the other thing that's unique about it is that it's a fish gelatin. So for people who are fish-eating vegetarians or who don't eat bovine or porcine gel caps, they can take one of the capsules. And they're also very potent products, so you only need to take one a day.
Why is it enteric coated?
So that it survives through the stomach acids and doesn't open up in the stomach, which is where a lot of people might have it start to open up and then get the burping up and the fishy after-tastes. So the coating helps it to survive through the stomach acid, and start to break up in the top of the small intestine where it's going to be utilized throughout the intestinal tract.
What are the ingredients in it?
It is 790 EPA and 140 DHA that packs quite a punch into one capsule. So it's a very convenient product that you only need to take once a day. It also includes Vitamin D. 1000 units of Vitamin D per capsule. So it is a really great added benefit.
What is the dosage?
Your condition would determine how many that you would need to take in a day. For most people, for just standard good health, you only need to take one a day. But if you've got a heart condition, or if you want to lower your triglycerides, you may need to take three or four per day.
