What is Floradix Cal-Mag?
It is a balance of calcium and magnesium. It is in a base of slightly digestive bitter tonic herbal teas in order to enhance mineral absorption, gut health, and digestion as well when it’s taken. The formula is also in a base of fruit and vegetable juices to provide co-factors, other plant nutrients, and antioxidants, in addition to fruit and vegetable acids and sugars, which are important to have in the gut while you're taking minerals because they enhance mineral absorption.
What are the benefits?
It is made for bone health, but it is important to keep in mind that calcium is important in the building of strong and hard bones, which our body does primarily during pregnancy, nursing and childhood years. By the age of adolescence, about 90% of our bone building is finished. After that, magnesium becomes more important than calcium. It's important to consider the ratio between them as well. They don't get absorbed at the same ratio when we ingest them.
