Decreased PMS Symptoms
I have been taking this for a few months because I have been struggling with many physical, mental and emotional symptoms around my hormone fluctuations and levels and Western Medicine hasn't been able to help me. Since taking I have noticed both subtle and notable changes. The biggest one would be my ability to mentally cope just before and during my menses. Prior to this I was having extreme mood swings, anger and just didn't seem to be able to cope at all. I am able to be level headed throughout now, even if I might still feel tired or have a migraine etc. I also had a lot of severe issues around high estrogen from unwanted hair, to cystic breasts, to possible uterine hyperplasia and fibroids. The breasts are completely resolved at this time, the hair is much better, and the other things are being monitored. I am feeling things are currently going in the right direction though and the supplement was a huge factor in that.

Cured My Migraines After 12 Years of Suffering
I had migraines from the age of 12 years old til I was 30 (12 years!). At that point I did a deep dive online into what was causing these migraines, and found I was estrogen dominant. Basically, my liver wasn't keeping up with detoxing the estrogens in my environment. I needed less estrogen and more progesterone.

I did a few things: quit using dryer sheets, quit using any parabens or phthalates in my personal care products, and took EstroSmart. I am now TWELVE YEARS MIGRAINE FREE. It makes me tear up just to say that.

My migraines were debilitating. They would take me out for an entire day, sometimes two days. My doctor just wanted to put me on SSRIs, which I knew I didn't want to do that. Thanks Lorna, you gave my life back. I am forever grateful!

TOO MUCH TOXIC ESTROGEN

Uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, fibrocystic breasts, flooding periods, terrible PMS, and endometriosis all have one thing in common estrogen dominance, a condition where the balance of estrogen to progesterone is disrupted. Too much estrogen and our risk of breast cell growth rises; too little estrogen and osteoporosis develops. Estrogen balance is the key to reducing breast and other cell growths, preventing hot flashes, halting menopausal symptoms, reducing body fat, maintaining libido, memory and heart function, and eliminating PMS. It is not just menopause that causes hormonal imbalances. Certain foods, stress, a lack of exercise and environmental toxins call all wreak havoc with our estrogens. These factors have also been shown to cause good estrogens to be converted to cell growth causing estrogens. And now a new and more serious alarm bell has been raised estrogen mimickers in our environment called xenoestrogens (pronounced 'zeno' estrogens) found in plastics, pesticide-laden foods and bleached feminine hygiene products are further disrupting our estrogen balance causing the conditions mentioned above along with cell growths, infertility and birth defects.

Fortunately, keeping our estrogens healthy and balanced is easier than you think. We must eat only organic foods as pesticide-laden fruits and vegetables are a big source of xenoestrogens. Choose lots of cruciferous veggies, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower and kale as they contain certain plant nutrients that help keep estrogens healthy. Drink organic milk and eat organic yogurt, cheese and beef as cows are fed grains that have been sprayed with pesticides and these are concentrated in their milk and meat. Don't use bleached pads and tampons, they are loaded with estrogen mimickers. Go to the health food store and buy unbleached feminine hygiene products. Do not microwave foods in plastic (especially baby formula);estrogen mimickers lurk in plastics. Most importantly take the following seven nutrients found in ESTROSMART that help keep estrogen healthy and detoxify and eliminate harmful estrogens:

Indole-3-carbinol (I3C):

an anti-cell growth plant nutrient found in cruciferous vegetables. Research has shown that I3C helps to breakdown grwoth causing estrogens to non-toxic forms. I3C is the most heavily researched nutrient shown to inhibit breast tumors. Indole-3-carbinol should be called the breast tumor prevention nutrient; the dosage is 150 milligrams per day for prevention.

Calcium D-glucarate:

a powerful detoxifier of excess and toxic estrogens from the liver. D-glucarate is very important as it ensures that toxins are excreted and not released elsewhere in the body. If you think of toxins as being wrapped up and packaged for removal from the body, then D-glucarate ensures that somewhere along the way the package does not open and the toxic contents spill out. It is most often used in combination with I3C. The dosage is 150 mg per day.

Green tea extract:

contains polyphenols, catechins, and flavonoids shown to be protective against estrogen-dominant breast cell growths. Research used the standardized extracts at a dosage of 100 mg per day; take this along with your cup of green tea.

Curcumin:

is the yellow pigment of turmeric the chief ingredient in curry. It is a powerful anti inflammatory agent and it works to inhibit all steps of cell growth formation: initiation, promotion, and progression. Curcumin also protects against inflammatory Calcium loss from our bones.Take 50 mg per day to protect your breasts, and eat curried foods.

Rosemary extract:

a potent anti-oxidant, inhibits mammary cell growth development and it helps to detoxify harmful estrogens. Take 5 mg per day and add the herb to your food.

DIM:

anti-cell growth. Take 50 per day.

Sulfurophane:

from broccoli sprout extract, has been shown to stimulate the body's production of detoxification enzymes that eliminate xeno estrogens. Recent research points to this nutrient as a powerful anti-breast cell growth agent. A modified sulfurophane is slated to be the next hot cell growth drug. Eat cruciferous vegetables or take 100 mcg per day in capsule form.

Essential fatty acids are also important and Omega-3 fats from fish oil improve the fatty acid composition of women's breast tissue when taken in 3 grams-per-day doses, lowering breast cell growth risk.

Reduce your stress levels, take the seven nutrients found in ESTROSMART, eat plenty of organic vegetables, take 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed everyday along with two capsules of flaxseed oil. Stop using plastic wrap and plastic storage containers. We are being bombarded by dangerous estrogens protect your daughters, your mother, your sisters and yourself.

Nutrients to Prevent Breast cell growth One in eight Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cell growth this year and 5,500 women will die from this dreadful disease. Yet rarely are women told what they can do to prevent breast cell growth I know that if you could take one nutrient that would reduce your risk of breast cell growth you would do it every day. We need to actively work to reduce our risk of developing breast cell growth by eating lots of cruciferous veggies, losing a few pounds, walking, finding joy in our lives and taking key nutrients that protect our breasts. Family history only accounts for less than 10 percent of all breast cell growth cases the other 90 plus percent are caused by diet, stress, environmental poisons and lack of exercise and essential nutrients.

PREMENSTRUAL SYNDROME

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is the brunt of many terrible jokes, yet this syndrome can be devastating to the sufferer and her family. The symptoms of PMS affect between 50 percent and 70 percent of women, leading to the mistaken belief that it is normal. Symptoms can occur at different times and at different intensities throughout the cycle, but typically appear between seven and fourteen days before menstruation. I am continually amazed at how many women think that PMS and terrible periods are an inevitable part of being female, even though common PMS is not normal.

Symptoms

Symptoms of PMS range from swollen and tender breasts, altered sex drive and uterine cramps to bloating, constipation and diarrhea with a change in appetite and cravings for carbohydrates and other foods. Other symptoms include backaches, water retention, fatigue and insomnia, heart palpitations, dizziness, headaches and migraine, skin problems, herpes and other signs of reduced immunity. Most people associate PMS with moodiness, anxiety, irritability or depression. One of the hallmark symptoms is angry outbursts that are difficult for the sufferer to control, hence its categorization as a psychiatric condition or hysteria.

Causes

PMS is linked to liver and bowel congestion, poor diet and lack of exercise. Hormonal imbalances are also a factor, and may involve estrogen excess; an excess or deficiency in progesterone; thyroid imbalances; high levels of aldosterone, an adrenal hormone that can cause muscle spasms; or prolactin excess. Some research suggests that increased estrogen is associated with decreased serotonin, the "feel good" hormone. Serotonin helps to regulate mood, and a deficiency is linked to depression.

Deficiencies or excess prostaglandins can also lead to PMS symptoms. Prostaglandins are hormone-like substances that regulate a range of physiological responses, including inflammation and muscle contraction, along with some reproductive functions.

Deficiencies in nutrients such as magnesium, vitamins A and E and B-complex, particularly B6, can also be a factor in PMS. Those with PMS often eat more refined sugars, carbohydrates, salt and dairy. Vegetarian women tend to experience less PMS, suggesting a link with meat and dairy consumption (they contain high levels of xenoestrogens). Women who suffer from PMS also tend to have low levels of gamma linolenic acid (GLA) and other essential fats.
