It naturally boosts the body's defenses.IP-6, found in the bran of brown rice, and inositol, part of the vitamin B family, both help support the immune system.
Why Cell Fort IP-6 & Inositol?
It provides powerful protection.
If you're serious about defending your immune health at a cellular level, this patented formula boosts the body's natural defenses, enhances healthy cell growth, dramatically increases natural killer cell activity & has
maximum effectiveness.
It boosts the body's natural cellular defenses by increasing levels of inositol phosphates in your cells to help strengthen and enhance your immune system. IP-6 and Inositol, as found in Cell Fort, delivers serious deep immune support and have been scientifically proven to increase natural killer cell activity by 58%
Why do the directions on the Cell Fort IP-6 & Inositol label state to take it between meals? What happens if I take Cell Fort IP-6 & Inositol with food?
Because the proteins in food can slow the absorption and bioavailability of Cell Fort IP-6 & Inositol, it is best taken (as stated on the label) on an empty stomach. However, if taking Cell Fort IP-6 & Inositol with meals is the most convenient time, a low protein meal that's high in fruits and vegetables will have less impact on absorption than high protein foods such as meat or fish. If taking this product with meals, experts also suggest increasing the dosage slightly (approximately 20%) to compensate for any decrease in absorption.
Inositol
Inositol is a member of the B complex. It is known as a fat emulsifier (lipotropic) and it works well with choline. Inositol helps to regulate both fat metabolism (both the good and bad) & cholesterol metabolism in the liver and gallbladder, breaking them down into smaller particles, which makes it easier for your body reduce their accumulation. It also reduces fatty build-up in organs like the liver.
Inositol is important for healthy hair growth. It also has a calming effect on the mind by helping to produce brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) like acetylcholine. It is used in the treatment of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, arteriosclerosis and eczema.
All of the B vitamins work together and are best used by the body in a B complex. Most B vitamins are water-soluble and any extra vitamins from large doses are flushed through the kidneys. It is best to take lower dosages of the B complex several times a day. Spray or sublingual forms of B vitamins are more easily absorbed. If additional supplementation of inositol is needed it can be taken in addition to a B complex. Inositol is a component of lecithin.
Oral contraceptives, estrogen, sulfa drugs, food processing, coffee and alcohol deplete inositol.
Phosphorus
Phosphorus is used for more biological processes than any other mineral. It is required for the production of ATP, the molecule which stores and transports energy in the cell. In the blood stream phosphorus is used as a buffer to maintain the body's acid/base balance. Phosphorus makes up the backbone of DNA and RNA, our genetic material.
Phosphorus is used to make bone and teeth and regulate muscle contraction and blood clotting. It performs these functions with other minerals including calcium and magnesium. It is important for phosphorus to be in proper balance with the minerals calcium and magnesium. The optimal ratio is 2 calcium:1 magnesium: 1 phosphorus. With all of these important functions it is hard to believe that phosphorus rarely requires supplementation.
Supplemental phosphorus is usually taken in the4=rough the use of bone meal. It comes as a powder, tablet or capsule. Bone meal supplements with added vitamin D, for absorption, are superior. Ensure that the bone meal has been tested and is free of heavy metals, like lead, which tend to accumulate in the bones. Small amounts of phosphorus may be added to calcium/magnesium complexes. Phosphorus is also contained in supplements of phosphatidyl choline and serine. These supplements are used because they build cell membranes and metabolize fats.
Deficiency of phosphorus is rare because most foods contain some phosphorus. Excessive intake of phosphorus, most often from junk foods and carbonated drinks, is more of a concern because phosphorus interferes with calcium and magnesium absorption. It is a causative factor in calcium deficiency. Individuals who are over forty have a decreased ability to excrete phosphorus from the kidneys and are especially susceptible to calcium deficiency. Phosphorus is depleted by digoxin, antacids containing magnesium and aluminum, diuretics, mineral oil and colchicine.
