Herbal Factors Diuretic...
is a superior combination of standardized herbal extracts that promote urine flow and flush away waste, reducing the puffiness of edema and gently stimulating the body's cleansing system.
Formulated with five effective herbs, including:
Bearberry-Many naturopaths recommend bearberry leaf tea and extract as the most effective natural cure for UTIs. Bearberry leaf tea is listed in the German Pharmacopoeia as a urinary disinfectant for the treatment of bladder and kidney catarrh (mucous) and inflammation. It is aneffective diuretic that stimulates the kidneys, thereby increasing urine flow.
Dandelion-Dandelion leaf can be used to treat water retention such as retention that is due to PMS. Dandelion leaf also flushes fluid through the kidneys and is a good herb for cleansing the urinary tract. Itcontains enough potassium to compensate for what is lost during urination.
Juniper-The most well known use for juniper is as a treatment for bladder infection. Juniper is a diuretic and antiseptic in the urinary tract. These properties are due to the volatile oils found in the berries.
Parsley-An excellent diuretic, and also prevents salt from being reabsorbed by body tissues.Parsley is recommended for fungal infections (like thrush in adults), bacterial infections (especially in the digestive, urinary and respiratory tract) and bad breath.
Cranberry- Cranberry has been well studied for its ability to prevent and decrease the severity of urinary tract infections. It contains compounds called lectins that prevent bacteria from sticking to the walls of the urinary tract. The bacteria are then flushed out through the urine and do not lead to infection. Cranberry also acidifies the urine, which makes it an uncomfortable environment for bacteria to live and reproduce.
What is edema?
Edema is the accumulation of fluid in spaces between the cells in the soft tissues of the body. Any part of the body may develop edema. The swelling can be localized in the face, arms, neck and may involve the legs and ankles. The underlying cause may be serious. Edema may indicate a more serious condition, such as diabetes, heart conditions, liver problems or others. More simply, it may be the result of infection, prolonged bed rest or allergies.
Reducing water retention naturally:

- Exercise daily.
- Try hot bathes and saunas.
